Where the Mō‘ili‘ili community gathers online

I watched the movie District 9. I personally liked it, but I immediately got the feeling that it is one of those movies that "is not for everyone." It can easily be dismissed as a mere science fiction movie, but I think that description does not do the film justice. I think it says more about how we treat other, in an indirect way of course. The extra-terrestrial aliens are humanized in this film, which made it very difficult for me to not perceive the film as less of a science fiction story and more about relations.

On a scale of five stars, Iʻd give the film 3.5 stars.

We saw that movie last weekend and I agree completely. I saw the human race at its worst in that movie. For those that can look past it being sci-fi and see it as an allegory for humanity it could be very eye opening.

For those that do not like sci-fi it will probably be just another ID4/Starship Troopers movie for you. If you are a sci-fi fan you may see it for what it really is.

4/5 stars but like Derek said not for everyone
