Kaimuki High has a new web site: www.kaimukihs.org if you want to see the daily bulletin, lunch schedule, sports schedule, SCC meetings, PTA meetings, etc at Kaimuki High...use this site, not the www...hi.us one above.

On 27 May the Kaimuki High School JROTC program was recognized by the Council for the City & County of Honolulu. Standing proud & tall before the entire Council, KHS JROTC received a Certificate of Recognition for five (5) years of service to the community.

During these five years, KHS JROTC has perfomed numerous public service duties for the community at large and for Kaimuki High School.

Their latest effort was 16 May, only two weeks ago, when, in co-operation with T.A.G. - Totally Against Graffiti; Iolani School and the HI Chapter, Yale Alumni the JROTC took on the worst graffiti clean up job - under the bridge at Kapiolani Blvd.

This job was two months in the making as tides, good weather, S.A.T. exams, proms all combined to push the event back. Showing the determination and leadership skills that JROTC teaches, the cadets never waivered in their determination to complete this project.

As a parent of two KHS students, class of 2005 & 2010, I am extremely proud that our students were recognized by the City Council. I look forward to seeing this certificate on the KHS website in the near future.
