I am committed to making Mo'ili'ili the cleanest, safest place to live with some of the best schools. I participate in numerous community meetings and would love to see 3 - 6 more people at each group's meetings.

We have spent many years talking with and agreeing or disagreeing with many people. The talk is important, but the commitment to an issue for 5 - 9 years is even more critical.

We definitely need the community's support. On December 2nd, Kuhio SCC is having a "Let's Talk Story" night, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and we are going to be discussing the "Furlough" problem and its solutions. I would like to invite everyone that can educate the parents about the problem and what options do we have to increase not decrease the effectiveness of education upon our children's future. Could you please give me as many contacts as possible to invite to our community meeting so that we can get to the bottom of this problem? I really appreciate the time you are investing with me.

Aloha Ron,
Thank you for your quick response. Bruse Eckmann and I (Kuhio SCC) are working on a resolution that would introuduce this measure. Could you please give me a quick step by step summary of what is needed for us to proceed to acheive our goal?

Aloha Ron,
Thank you for your good wishes. I took your advice and added our board meetings detail to the MM Calendar. We have 3 school members and 3 community members. School members are Mrs. Hao (Principal), Ms. Davina Pangelinan and Ms. Sarah Guyoa. Community members are Fred Bandack, Bruse Eckmann and Dolan Waikiki.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
As long as I have your attention, could you please let me know if you heard of a group that is pushing a legistlation into our HI government's education arena, where the minimum number of school days are at least 180 days? I understand we do not have any minimum number of schooling days for students!!!!!!! What a shame!

I never said I bought it either! I did say we will keep after these companies, and the more neighbors that complain to the City, councilmember, state rep. etc the faster we'll get it settled. FYI, today the small truck broke down at Kino's parking lot (approx 4:15 a.m.) and they didn't get it back in operation until 7:10 a.m.
Bob Kern of Makiki, is going from Neighborhood Board to N.B. to bring attention to this issue. I'll be happy to introduce you to him to join forces.

I'm not buying it....there are always two (2) trucks picking up along Hausten St. and at different times. *I'm sure they go to the same dump!

Ron -

I didnt realize this was a landscaping project. Hmm, you may want to find a landscape architect? By Green i am referring to conservation methods for energy, water, operations, carbon emissions, and plants are included in there too. hmm, i could talk to her about some low to no-cost upgrades to the school that arent related to landscaping.
