electricity going up?

Also concerned that condo electricity will go up to cover stock holders earnings in light of the residential owners getting photo-voltaic power which was subsidized by the government
How about us condo owners?

drownings in our town

1) I am concerned with condo swimming pool safety in light of the double drowning at Makini at Kinau Condo a few Sundays ago at 2 in the afternoon.

That pool has the same slippery glazed tile surface that my condo and many condos in our area have.

Since 2008, I have been complaining about my condo. The pool is slippery and dangerous since they changed it from a non slip surface. I have complained to the building dept, politicians ( yes our reps) state, city, everyone.. no one…

oh hello

Between working in the garden and going to school, I've started to crochet a Dr. Who scarf. What was I thinking? its going to be one hundred and eleventy feet long! It's actually going to be 8-9 feet long if I follow the entire pattern. I may stop. I may keep going.

There are more ducks in our little ditch. They are fun to watch as they eat. They stick their heads under water as we're all treated to a bunch of duck butt! Hussy ducks!

I saw cops by longs and they…

Vanishing the Homeless - A Real Solution or Just an Illusion?

Driving down King Street now is so much nicer without the presence of tents lining King Street.  The homeless people who lived there for months to more-than-a-year have all vanished.  They're all gone - like magic.

We know however that this cannot be true.  Our homeless issue is way more complex than that.

I've missed going to Stadium Park.  Although I'm sure the park is more welcoming in appearance now, I can't help but wonder what the next step is.  The…

couple of other things...

I miss HK's,

I really like Da Spot.

I enjoy smelling all the good smells that waft out of Cafe Maharani.

So happy when Down to Earth has a sale.

So happy when Kokua has something wonderful. Note to self, why don't you join the co-op, Carey? (Because I am lazy! I should join. So should the rest of you!)

Family of Ducks in the Hausten street ditch! (Did you know that's what our little river is officially called?)

I've been walking…

Military helicopters....

By Buddha's big beautiful belly, they fly so low sometimes that I can see the color of the pilots eyes! I read the newspaper article that they sometimes follow the freeway as a flight path...really? seriously? I just had 2 fly over that were using Date street. See the sights guys...see the sights.

My basil is thriving. I have finally found out how the stray cats are getting in my garden. They were eating my sage and getting a free catnip high! (sage/catnip=related). I have…

Great Food at 4Kings Kitchen

I ate some great-tasting food in Moiliili at 4Kings Restaurant. On my first trip to the new restaurant I ordered the Chinese Seasoned Fresh Island Fish.  Although I was in rush since it was lunch time on a weekday, I knew after the first two bites that I would be a return customer to 4Kings Kitchen.  Later that same week, my wife and I dined…

Been away, now I'm back.

What is UP with the chairs and electronics being dumped in the little canal? I was beginning to think it was an anti-environmental art piece, by the artist "Litters McDumpyshteeeen"  I see mostly chair frames and electronics, seriously. I'm all for "kill your tv and go outside" but not "dump your stuff in the canal" outside.

Way to go with the stupidity! Litterbugs! I salute you! come forward so i can congratulate you on a job well done. And then have you cited…
