Mō‘ili‘ili Matters

Where the Mō‘ili‘ili community gathers online

Anyone have additional information on this tragedy?
Walking in the area, Can be so dangerous.
I felt that the riskiest places were on King Street b/c they have few traffic lights, but this is plain sad.
I cross at that area, I guess for protection, It would be better to go through the park and avoid the streets.
The crossing at Kapiolani and University seems to hgave good visability but the crossing lights could use some updating, I can not always see the ok to cross light, it is dim. Aslo i cross at the corner of McCully and Ala Wai and that has a timer that is so fast that i can barely get across the street before it changes to red going towards the ocean.

The online newspapers took the comments of this story off line.
Wonder why. I cross that street a few times a week and the lights with the hand is very dim, many times I can not see it, it is time to improve it, change the light bulbs or something. that is a very busy crossing, especially in the morning.
